ACTIV by APHEA bio® proves its value in Poland: stronger yields in successful 2024–25 season

Two years after its official introduction to the Polish market, ACTIV by APHEA bio® has proven its effectiveness as a biostimulant seed treatment for wheat and barley. Growers across Poland are now reporting measurable gains in yield and crop resilience, confirming the success of the 2023 launch.

Powered by a unique, patent-protected strain of Stenotrophomonas rhizophila and developed through Aphea.Bio’s innovative R&D platform, ACTIV® strengthens roots, improves nutrient uptake, and enables crops to perform better under stress conditions such as drought and salinity.

These benefits have now been proven in Aphea.Bio’s multi-year field trials—more than 225 trials worldwide, including 35 in Poland. During the 2024–25 season, ACTIV® consistently delivered yield increases of around 5%, equal to an additional 250 kg/ha, even under reduced fertilization.

“When we launched ACTIV® in Poland in 2023, we promised a product that would help farmers grow more with less. Two years later, the results from Polish fields confirm that promise. Growers see stronger crops, higher yields, and better profitability, while reducing dependence on synthetic fertilizers,” said Isabel Vercauteren, CEO of Aphea.Bio.

Two leading agricultural companies, Graminis (Dusocin k/Grudziądza) and Agro Oaza (Racibórz), were among the first to introduce ACTIV® to Polish farmers.

Anna Redmerska, President of the Board of Graminis commented: “ACTIV® is the kind of solution farmers in Poland are waiting for. We value our collaboration with Aphea.Bio, a company that brings science-based innovation supported by extensive field trial results.”
