Master Class 3 - Co-Creating Trust: Climate-Resilient Crops
Unlocking Consumer Trust in Innovative Biotechnologies: A Masterclass Series
The B-Trust project invites you to join a series of 8 exclusive masterclasses designed to explore the vital role of consumer perceptions in shaping the future of biotechnologies within the agri-food and biobased sectors. These masterclasses are your gateway to cutting-edge insights on how to successfully engage with consumers, address their concerns, and build trust in sustainable innovations that can transform Europe's future.

Master Class 3 - Co-Creating Trust: Climate-Resilient Crops
In Masterclass 3, we will focus on solutions for more climate-resilient crops. As climate change intensifies and food demands rise, developing more climate-resilient crops will be crucial to nourish our growing world and safeguard a healthy planet.
If enabled, plants obtained by New Genomic Techniques (NGT) have the potential to significantly contribute to the European climate objectives by introducing said climate-resilient crops and reducing the environmental impact of farming practices. In addition, they are potential biological factories of high-value molecules, such as therapeutic proteins. With their speed and precision, NGTs present a powerful alternative to traditional breeding methods.🌱
This masterclass will delve into an important aspect of the conversation: consumer perception of NGTs. The program will feature insights from leading experts, covering topics such as the potential of NGTs in fostering a more sustainable food system, new breeding techniques like CRISPR, and findings from recent consumer surveys in Germany and Spain.
Join us as we explore how these breakthroughs are shaping the future of food and farming.
